Wren Medina: A Creator Intro

Wren Medina (he/they)
Trans/disabled, demi-pansexual, single parent
Greetings!
I'm a bit of a Chaotic Creator working with textiles, painting, collaging, spoken word poetry, special occasion banners, artist trading cards, small wildflower arrangements, and whatever else my ADHD heart desires. My art is one of the most important pieces of myself; art helps me cope with my decades long battle with chronic illness/pain, the continual rise of fascism, complex trauma, and my experience as a trans, disabled human. I'm also a 4 times published author! You can catch me in the upcoming Rockford Anthology (releasing October 2025). Currently, I'm working on a children's illustrated book and a poetry book. I'm excited to share my work with you! Raised in the South, I made Rockford my home 10 years ago. While the North was quite the culture shock for me, the community I've found here has helped me find a strength I didn't know was possible and I'm excited to continue growing here.
Some other quick facts about me!

You can find me doing art through People's Easel or on my disability advocacy journey on social media @disabledisntdead.
